Bulk delete customers in your Shopify store

To delete customers in bulk in your Shopify store, first make sure you have a worksheet linked to your Shopify store’s customers (see Bulk edit Shopify customer data if you need to add one). You can select several rows just like you would in Excel: click a row number, then drag across the row numbers of the other customers you’d like to delete. Then follow these steps:

1. To delete one customer, right-click its row number and choose Delete customer in Shopify…. To delete several at once, select their rows, then right-click one of the selected row numbers (or open the Row menu) and choose the option, which shows the count, for example Delete 3 customers in Shopify…
2. In the Delete Shopify Objects window, check the list of what will be deleted. This cannot be undone
3. Click Delete, then click Are you sure?? to confirm
4. Mixtable asks Shopify to delete the customer. Once Shopify has deleted it, Mixtable clears the row and leaves it empty. To tidy up, choose Worksheet > Remove Empty Rows

Only the spreadsheet's owner can delete in Shopify, and only on rows linked to Shopify. If the worksheet is filtered, hidden rows are left alone.

Shopify only deletes customers who have no orders, and the Delete Shopify Objects window reminds you of this. A customer who has placed orders stays in your store, and their row stays as it is. To delete that customer, delete their orders first, for example with bulk delete orders.
